Databases

We created the account blastdat for the databases. This account exists on the didecs as well on the disuns, but all databases are stored on the didecs. Currently following databases are available:

Nucleotide databases:

• embl: from the the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.
• est: expressed sequence tags (a subset of embl).
• nr: non redundant embl+emblupdate+genbank.
• dnapart: small database for testing.

• swiss: SwissProt.
• gp: GenPept.
• gpu: cumulative weekly updates of GenPept.
• nr: non-redundant SwissProt+GenPept+GenPeptupdates.
• protpart: small database for testing.

The databases are updated by ISREC.
